Mileage / Kilometre Restrictions:
Mileage and kilometre restrictions are unlimited
Use of the rented vehicle:
BUDGET vehicles are to be used for non-commercial passenger transportation only. Valet charges will apply for pet's transportation or misuse of the vehicle. Only authorized drivers, stated on the rental agreement are allowed to drive BUDGET vehicles.
Fines:
A surcharge of BHD 5 is applicable, over and above the traffic fine as a handling administration fee.
Valet Charges:
If the car is returned with an extremely dirty interior (e.g. Sand or mud particles found in the car, or pets hair on the seats, tea, coffee or any other edible items staining the car seats, seat burns, etc.), there will be a charge of BHD 20 as valet charges. If the car is returned with an extremely dirty exterior, there will be a charge of BHD 25 as valet charges.
Repairs and Maintenance:
All repairs and maintenance must be carried out only at BUDGET workshops. Customer is fully liable for all damages and additional costs in case of own repair, changing parts of the vehicle or maintenance.
Tire Replacement Service Charge:
A surcharge of BHD 10 will be charged, over and above the tire repair costs or applicable excess, as a handling administration fee.
Breakdown Recovery Service:

Off-road Driving:
Not Allowed. Customer is fully liable for any damage or additional costs.
Non - Smoking Charges:
BUDGET operates a non-smoking fleet. Vehicles returned with smoke or unacceptable odour will require a full valet and as such a fee of BHD 25 shall be chargeable to the customer. Any damage to the fabric or any accessories within the vehicle will be charged as per actual cost.

Additional driver information |
|
Additional drivers can be added for BHD 2.00 per day. The maximum charge is BHD 25.00 per rental.
Any additional drivers must be present when you collect the car. All drivers must meet our conditions of rental. See the Driver Licence/ID and Age Requirement sections for full details.

Age information |
|
You must be at least 25 years old to rent at this location.
No young driver surcharge applies - drivers under the age of 25 are not permitted to rent a car from Budget Bahrain.
If you are over 65 years old you cannot rent at this location
No senior driver surcharge applies - drivers over the age of 65 are not permitted to rent a car from Budget Bahrain.

We will take a deposit to cover any costs in case of damage or theft.
Cash
Cash may be used for the payment of rental charges only.

Credit Card Requirements
Credit card should be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the day of Rental and must be physically available at time of vehicle collection. Please note that in all cases, DEBIT CARDs are not accepted as 'security'. Please note we will not accept prepaid, recharge or virtual credit cards.
Security Deposit/Pre-authorisation amount:
The estimated cost of the rental and insurance charges are payable in advance. A credit card is mandatory for any reservation. A 'Pre-authorization' is taken at the time of rental which includes insurance excess amount, full fuel tank and any additional charges such as Traffic Fines, Toll Gate Fees, etc. Pre-authorization amount on credit card is between BHD 150-300, depending on rented car group. BHD 150 will be held for group A, B, C, D, E, K, and BHD 300 will be held for group will be held for the remaining groups F,G,H,I,J,M and above groups. We keep pre-authorization amount until we receive confirmation regarding Traffic Fines. Sometimes, it may take up to 15 days or more.

Cancellations and No Show Charges |
|
If you make a Pay on Arrival booking and do not collect your vehicle a fee of 50% of the rental cost will apply. If you no longer need your vehicle cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the pick-up time to avoid this charge.

Waiver and protection options |
|
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver reduces your liability if the vehicle is damaged. If the vehicle is damaged you will pay the cost of repair up to the excess amount.
CDW is included in most rates sold on Budget websites.
Theft Protection is included in CDW. This reduces your liability if the vehicle is stolen (subject to an excess).
CDW is available at this location. The costs and excess charges are detailed in the table below. If your rate includes CDW this cost is already included in your rental price.
This is a mandatory insurance. The renter will be responsible for an excess between BHD 150 - 300. In case of any accidents and additional damages, a police report must be obtained by contacting the local authorities.
Limitation of liability shall apply to damage to the rental vehicle, its parts and accessories caused in a road accident. CDW limits renter's financial responsibility to Excess Amount stated on the Rental Agreement. In any case,
CDW DOES NOT COVER damage if the vehicle was driven by unauthorized driver or by authorized driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs, damage to the interior of the vehicle, tire and wheel damage, windscreen, wheel cover and rims, damage to the underside of the vehicle, broken or lost key, lost or damage car documents, contamination of fuel, either in the event of deliberate intention or negligence.
Theft Protection (TP)
Theft Protection reduces your liability if the vehicle is stolen (subject to an excess). The costs and excess charges are detailed in the table below. If your rate includes Theft Protection this cost is already included in your rental price.
Theft Protection is included in Collision Damage Waiver.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Personal Accident Insurance will be offered to drivers at the rental location. PAI costs BHD 2.00 per day.
The maximum coverage in case of disability (per person) is BHD 500,000.00
The maximum coverage in case of death (per person) is BHD 500,000.00
Third Party Liability
Third Party Liability covers drivers in case of damage, including damage to passengers and their property, when using a Budget vehicle.
Third party liability is included in the rental price.
Maximum coverage in case of damage to property is BHD 500,000.00
Maximum coverage in case of personal injury is BHD 500,000.00
Maximum coverage in case of death is BHD 500,000.00
Roadside Assistance
Roadside assistance or recovery is free of charge
Support will be provided for technical issues, and not provided for tire replacement incase puncture and other tire damages.

Drivers license and ID requirements |
|
Each driver must show photographic proof of identity and their passport at the start of the rental. All drivers must present a full and current driving licence which has been held for at least 1 year. The licence must be valid for use in the renting country.
If your licence was issued outside the European Community you must provide an International Driving Licence. Your driving licence must be valid according to the rules imposed by the Directorate of Traffic- Kingdom of Bahrain. In some cases the international license may require to be stamped by Bahrain Traffic Department prior to vehicle being issued
As well as a driving license, Passport is needed as ID documentation.

Fuel charges |
|
Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the rental. To avoid refuelling charges please return the car with a full tank of fuel.
If the fuel tank is not full we will fill the tank and charge you for the fuel. Fuel is charged at market price plus tax and service.
Missing fuel will be charged BHD .250 per litre. Unused fuel will not be refunded.

Collecting and returning your vehicle |
|
The driver must present proof of identity when collecting the vehicle. Please see the Driving Licence/ID Requirements section for more information.
During Office Hours
If you are delayed and arrive outside of office hours due to a delayed flight no additional charge will apply. This only applies if you enter your flight number when booking.
If you are late we will guarantee your rental for 24 hours. After this time your reserved car may be released and rented to another customer.
Out of Office Hours - Collection
It may be possible to collect the vehicle out of office hours. This must be requested at the time of booking. There is no charge for this service. This service is not available if the rental is booked online.

If you do not collect the vehicle a "No Show" charge of 50% of the rental charge will apply.
Out of Office Hours - Return
If the vehicle is returned outside of office hours the driver is liable for damage or theft until the car has been inspected by a member of Budget staff.
You may return the vehicle out of hours if you request this at the time of booking. There is no charge for this service.
